About us

Welcome To ALL!

As President of the Riley Old Home Society (ROHS), I want to thank our many members, volunteers and community leaders. Their dedication and hard work has propelled us to the level that we enjoy today. The ROHS has helped bring community and state awareness to the birthplace of James Whitcomb Riley since that time. Greenfield, Indiana is very proud to have Mr. Riley's Boyhood Home and Museum located just one block west of downtown Greenfield. To quote Marsh Davis, past president of Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana, ``As we celebrate past successes, we must look forward with the understanding that there is no end to our work, and that the challenges of preserving our heritage only grow and deepen`` This is true for the ROHS as we strive to preserve and promote the legacy of James Whitcomb Riley. --- David Crider, President ROHS
